When little Evenly arrived I instantly fell in love with all of her gorgeous hair! Her mum said she had a little bit of a mullet but that it was dissapperaring ad the days went on.
They had just had a very awake day the day before our shoot when Evelyn was awake and looking around for most of the day, but luckily we scored a sleepy day for her photos so we were able to capture loads of different photos for her. Oh, she woke though, and had the sweetest little look around during one of our setups. Her faces were so expressive I was cooing at my screen as I was editing!
She was not happy about the bonnet though. Im not sure why, because it looked so, SO cute! But instead of a cute smiling photo we captured possibly the Grumpiest Baby in a Bonnet photo you will ever see. #getthisthingoffme
Evelyn's parents had brought a teddy bear that her nanna had given her to include in the session. Now, its not a big teddy, its about average size. But seriously. It looked massive next to her! Shes such a sweet little poppet that a her teddy bear dwarfed her in this setup!
Then the hiccups came on, so after another feed and set-change we were finally onto sleeping photos. These had been a particular request for the session so I was so glad that she did drop off asleep for us to allow them. The sleeping on a blanket photos do require baby to be fast asleep as they are often posed into positions that could easily become unsafe if they were to startle or stretch, so to in keeping safety paramount at my sessions, I only ever photograph these photos when the little ones are sound asleep, and then still with a parent hovering a hand just out of shot.
Then just like that we were done and it was time to say good bye. I only hope that Evelyn doesn't hold the bonnet incident against me and returns for a session when she is older! A bonnet-free experience I promise!
