Behind the Scenes - Newborn setup

So lets start with another beautiful baby (because thats what we all want to see right?)

Awww, love!!!

But what does this look like from a different angle?  I thought it might be interesting to pull back the curtain a little and show you what to expect to see at your session versus the photos I take at your session.

I am still a small business and yet to have my own proper studio space (one day.... ) so in the meantime I set up temporary sets in my home to create beautiful images for your family. I prefer to photograph in my own home as I know where the best light is throughout the day and can have everything set up and ready to go when you arrive. The other bonus is that you don't have to clean your house for me to come!

This is my current winter set-up for newborns. It is in my daughters bedroom so that I can heat the room up to around 30 degrees to keep baby nice and cosy and sleepy. So, exactly what does that first photo look like from a different perspective?

Quite different huh!

If you look closely at the picture you will see the heater just behind the backdrop stand. I use a special newborn posing beanbag that is both supportive and mouldable, a waterproof layer under the first blanket (just in case!), wraps and bonnets and headpieces on hand, blanket options, wipes, white-noise machine, and of course seats for mum and dad.

So while it is an in-home setup, I have spent a lot of time perfecting it to provide you with the most comfortable experience and gorgeous photos. Oh ok, since you asked, heres another one:
