He slept through my print presentation to his parents (I like to show off all the pretty goodies that accompany the photography packages - you check some out on youtube here) and he slept right up until the moment we placed him in his mums arms for the first photo.
Then he woke.
He was hungry, so mum fed him, and I could tell that Mum and Dad were a little concerned about the slow start to our session but I assured them it would go very quickly once Noah fell back asleep, and it sure did! We were able to get through a couple of extra setups than the usual, which is a great bonus.
Noah's grandma was also at the session and let me tell you, every new mum needs a mother-in-law like this one. As soon as Noah needed feeding she was there with a bottle of water for his mum, as soon as the nappy needed changing she was there with supplies. It was the most wonderful thing to see a family so supportive of each other.
You can see what a proud Grandma she is in the photos of them together, just gorgeous.
Noah was the first boy in my new wreath from David Lam Designs which was fun to do a new setup. This is a composite image, which means that Noah was never dangling in this prop. We photograph the wreath stable on the ground with Noah in it, then we remove baby and hold the wreath up for the dangling photo, then the two images are merged together in photoshop. This is the only way this image should ever be created to ensure complete safety for the baby.
I had so many moments ooh-ing and ahh-ing at just how cute Noah is. He had so many smiles and frowns, he wasn't too sure about wearing a bonnet but in the end he agreed, and I am so glad he did - its one of my favourites from the shoo!
In the photo where he is wrapped in his dads hands, once we had captured the image and he could stretch out again he did this very cute little kicking thing with one leg, like you see puppies do when they get a good tummy rub that they love. I think Noah just loved being snuggled in his dads hands.
