Behind The Scenes - Safety

I have a confession. My main objective at your session is actually not getting the perfect photo. Of course, I absolutely strive for that, but I would never attempt a photo at the expense of your family's safety. 

Whether it is a maternity session, family session or a newborn, the safety of your family at my session is paramount to me. That is why I use photoshop to help create artistic photos like the one below. 

Here is an example of a photo that looks like the baby is being held high up in the air, but is in fact super safe to achieve!

BYO Blankets

I love it when families bring personal items to include in their session. This family brought the black crochet blanket, it was Mum's from when she was a baby, how cool is that? 

Speaking of cool, this little man was cool as a cucumber - I swear that is a wink!

Daddy's Girl

This first-time Dad has the baby whispering down pat! That, or his little girl has him wrapped around her little finger already. I absolutely love this family photo, bub was a bit upset so Dad stepped in to do a bit of baby whispering to help settle her again. Which she did. I love the way they are all looking at each other -so much love here!

A Gift of Photography

This beautiful family were gifted a photography session for Christmas! All they had to do was turn up and enjoy their free session and receive their free photos on disc.  They hadn't had any professional photos taken before, but you would never know, they were all so relaxed laughing at my bad Dad jokes.

Newborn Love

Lots of Cheeky

 Photographing larger family groups is always a challenge, but extra rewarding too!  I have plenty of tricks to keep the younger family members interested in the session, and we try to keep things mixed up so that the kids all get a break from the camera to go and run around and play. This modelling thing is hard work I tell you! This beautiful family gifted their free album to their parents for Christmas, isn't that the nicest idea?
