I love coffee, which means that after I had my first baby it became a lifeline to the real world. I loved a cafe where I could sit and relax while my baby slept or chewed on a toast crust while I got that great caffeine hit. However I quickly found out that not all cafe's are pram and kid friendly, so I decided to share with you some of my favourite cafes on the North-side of Brisbane to go with kids.

BIRDS & BEES CAFE
This great new cafe just opened. There is a fenced play area for children and babies with toys, tables and chalkboard. It is open and spacious for prams. Food and coffee awesome! A great sun trap on a cool morning with lovely views over the Bunya hills.

COFFEE UNDERCOVER
This is a little coffee shop run by The Gap Baptist Church. They don't sell food so bring your own snacks, good coffee and loads of toys for the kids inside, a nice play fort and sand pit outside. Great for all ages. They are closed Mondays.

EVERTON PARK HOTEL
101 Flockton St, Everton Park
http://evertonparkhotel.com.auBetter for active kids, toddlers can get a bit overwhelmed by older children in the playground. Best on school days when its more quiet. Free activities run during school holidays but that makes it really busy those weeks. The carousel runs evenings and weekends and is $2 a ride, its also free at times during school holidays. There are also colouring sheets and pencils to keep kids entertained while waiting for food at the table.

MT COOT-THA GARDENS
Sir Samuel Griffith Drive

Pram friendly, great spot to get a coffee and catchup with your mums group before taking a stroll through the gardens. The walking paths are great for prams, toddlers have fun looking for the things on the kids trail and running wild on the grassy lawns. Take bug spray if you are planning a stroll.

Both pram friendly, The Gap Coffee Club has a padded play area suitable for younger toddlers and babies while the Everton Park one has a McDonalds style play fort more suitable for older kids. They sometimes have pencils and workbooks they hand out to children while you wait for lunch.
